oval94diskont. is the second Oval album on mille plateaux . Being neither an add-on nor a full-scale follow-up to their 1994 timeless ambient classic "systemisch" (which caught huge and the most affectionate and enthusiastic attention in both the german and british underground music press) , oval94diskont. is more an intermediate document that - together with "systemisch" - is meant to display the full scope of their various artistic engagements of the last year.

In addition to this, a full scale remix LP that comes with the vinyl version will feature an exceptional variety of astonishing remix-confrontations, versions, re-considerations and edits by: Mouse On Mars, Scanner, Cristian Vogel and Jim O'Rourke.

On oval94diskont., Oval tentatively re-define their unique deconstructive musical methods (CD-sabotage, improper use of MIDI, hardware criticism, frequency politics) in very precise, very "musical" terms, that newly position their music in the field between deconstruction and reconstruction with a completely different, highly accessable, but simultaneously even more drastically fractured outcome.
